Simple First Aid and Awareness for Kids

In this safety class, we prepare 2nd and 3d graders to stay calm an take control in the face of a minor injury.  They will learn how to identify, treat and prevent burns, cuts and bleeding, a nosebleed, bee stings, tick bites, bumps and bruises, poison ivy/oak.  We also begin an age-appropriate discussion about the possibility of getting separated from mom or dad at a large event or shopping excursion, how to stay calm and handle the situation in the safest way possible.
